Sheri Andrews
Principal | Architecture + Interiors
AIA, LEED AP BD+C
As a Principal at Valerio Dewalt Train, Sheri brings 25 years of experience to her assignments. Informed by her love of world travel, music, and exploring the “what if?” of design, she approaches architecture with a keen interest in how humans move through space. Committed to maintaining rigorous standards for sustainability and resilient design, she was instrumental in the success of the University of Chicago Lab Schools, Google Tech Corners Campus, Vue53 Apartments, Shedd Aquarium Oceanarium Renovation, and Canopy Hotel projects, applying agility and thoughtfulness in executing each design element.
As a recent recipient of the 2023 AIA Illinois R. Buckminster Fuller Award for Social Good, Sheri continues to be a supportive mentor and leader for positive change through her involvement with CREW Chicago, Chicago Women in Architecture, and AIA Chicago. With the Shedd Aquarium Experience Evolution project, Sheri is leading the design team as a steward for the historic architecture of the building and creating inclusive experiences for all guests. Constantly expanding her expertise, she prioritizes collaboration with clients to create architectural solutions that satisfy the needs of today, while offering flexibility to evolve with the future needs of tomorrow.
