As the National Association of Women in Construction’s “Women in Construction Week” comes to a close, we’d like to recognize a few women we’ve partnered with who are going above and beyond in the construction industry. Some of the leading women in our office have highlighted their colleagues below.

 
 
 
 

Rana Ghosn, Project Manager at Best Interior Construction

Nominated by: Christine McGrath, Principal

Rana served as the General Contractor Project Manager for the build out of a Financial Services office in Miami, FL, where Christine was Principal-in-Charge of the architecture scope.

“When a recent interior refresh project for a key client became challenging, protracted and tense, Rana was the epitome of professionalism, agility and grace.  Despite challenges well outside of her purview and control, Rana demonstrated unwavering diligence and commitment to the project and our Client. We cannot thank her enough.”

Sheetal Roy, Senior Associate at Syska Hennessy Group

Sheetal served as the MEP Lead Project Engineer for the construction of a Distribution Center in Illinois, where Christine managed the architecture scope.

Deb served as Interior Construction Manager for Northwestern Mutual’s Headquarters where Heather managed the interior architecture scope of this 1,000,000 SF new office tower in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Emily Dyrek, Construction Manager at Cullen Construction Management

Emily served as Senior Project Manager for an Trading Firm’s 84,000 SF office renovation in Chicago, IL, where Katie managed the interior architecture scope.

“Emily is kind, thoughtful, organized, and most importantly - calm and collected - in the face of (inevitable) challenges during the construction process. She addresses these challenges with empathy, working towards solutions with the overall team to keep the project progressing on schedule. Emily established a great rapport with all members of the team, including the client, subcontractors, consultants, and design team.”

Ewa Weir, Senior Vice President at JLL

Ewa is serving as Senior Project Manager for the Shedd Aquarium Experience Master Plan where Lauren is a Project Manager for the architecture scope of this historic facility’s renovation in Chicago.

She is always thoughtful in her suggestions, constantly encouraging all members of the team to work smarter. I appreciate her guidance, admire her expertise and value her leadership on the project. The National Association of Women in Construction strives to Strengthen and amplify the success of women in the construction industry. The association is committed to championing women to impact the direction of the construction industry. NAWIC provides education, community and advocacy for women.
